Clydesdale Bank, Gen H and TSB make rate changes

Clydesdale Bank has reduced rates by as much as 0.64% but increased some products by as much as 0.19%, while Gen H has made rate cuts of up to 20 basis points and TSB has trimmed prices by as much as 0.25%.

Clydesdale lowered rates on its core products including product transfer range, which will see residential 85% to 95% two- and five-year core rates reduced by up to 0.64%.

The lender has also lowered the residential 85% two-year remortgage exclusive rate by up to 0.10% and residential 95% two- and five-year purchase exclusive rates will be reduced by as much as 0.06%.

In addition, residential 85% to 90% two-year professional rates will be lowered by up to 0.20%.

The bank has also announced some rate increases. These include the residential 65% to 75% five-year core rates, which will go up by as much as 0.19%.

The residential 75% five-year remortgage exclusive rate will rise by up to 0.10% while residential 50% to 75% LTV five-year large loan rates will go up by as much as 0.13%.

It has also put the rates up on selected residential two- and five-year low LTV professional rates by up to 0.15%.

Elsewhere, Gen H has made reductions to all products up to and including 80% loan-to-value (LTV)

These cuts include its recently launched New Build Boost product, where rates have been lowered by 20bps to 6.29%.

In addition, all three- and five-year rates up to and including 90% LTV have been lowered by 20bps, while all two-year rates up to and including 80% LTV have been reduced by 15bps.

These new rates are now live for brokers on Gen H’s panel. They are also available in combination with the lender’s income boost and deposit booster products.

Gen H chief commercial officer Pete Dockar says: “We’re a big fan of silver linings here at Gen H. So, while we’re seeing a lot of economic volatility on both national and international stages, there’s an upside: today, we can offer sweeping rate cuts across much of our range.”

“We’re always looking for opportunities to price down, and we’re delighted to include our New Build Boost rate within these cuts.”

Meanwhile, TSB has reduced its rates across residential, product transfer and additional borrowing ranges.

The residential two-year fixed first-time buyer and home mover 75% to 85% LTV has been cut by 0.25% while the two-year fixed remortgage 60% to 85% LTV has gone down by 0.05%.

The lender’s product transfer residential two-year fixed 60% to 85% LTV rates and additional borrowing residential two-year fixed 60% to 80% LTV rates have both been lowered by 0.05%.
